At Bunnings, we believe that getting the job done starts with having access to the right tools and materials. Owned and operated in Australia, our scale allows us to partner with the world’s leading brands and manufacturers.
For Bunnings Pacific, our priority is to source and offer easy access to high-quality products from globally recognised brands, alongside trade-ready tools and equipment.
Our supplier partners are required to ethically source their products from factories which operate in accordance with international labour and safety standards, and our buying team is working to bring the most reliable products and trusted brands directly to the Pacific market.
Our online store is designed to make searching and ordering the items you need as intuitive and seamless as possible.
Underpinning all of this are our team’s core guiding principles of integrity, respect, teamwork, achievement, and innovation.
Bunnings History:
Bunnings began in 1886 in Western Australia, founded by brothers Arthur and Robert Bunning as a small timber and sawmilling business.
-
Late 1800s–mid‑1900s: Focused on timber and building supplies, supporting housing and infrastructure growth
-
1994: Opened the first large ‘warehouse’ store, changing how Australians accessed hardware and DIY products
-
1994 onwards: Bunnings was acquired by Australian company Wesfarmers, which supported national expansion
-
2001: Expanded into New Zealand, adapting the Australian model to suit local conditions and communities
Over time, Bunnings evolved from a supplier of building materials to a trusted partner in home and community improvement. While our business has grown, our mindset has stayed the same: be useful, be fair, and be part of the community.
