Replacing an entire fence can be an expensive and difficult task. The Simpson Strong-Tie® E-Z Mender™ is designed to help make reinforcing fence posts easy and economical. The E-Z Mender is a simple solution for a number of timber fence post repair and reinforcement in both dirt or concrete. The FPBM44E is approved for installation with the Strong-Drive® SD Connector screw. Made from 2.7mm Carbon Steel and finished in black, it will blend into your existing fence line and help improve fence vertical stability. Suits 90mm x 90mm fence posts installed in concrete or dirt, reinforces weakened posts without having to replace the post or concrete. Installed in pairs (please note sold individually).When installing, use all specified fasteners for best performance. Ensure you remove dirt or debris from around the existing post. Drive the mender plate down along the post between the post and the dirt or concrete, ensuring that the plates are driven 280mm into the ground for full penetration. Repeat on opposite side of the post. Fasten to the post using double-barrier coated or hot-dip galvanised fasteners (10HDG nails or screws per E-Z Mender).
