The heat-treated 14-gauge/2-mm carbon-steel head with a wide-edge profile holds more dirt than the standard #2 pattern. The wide, vented steps provide grippy traction under the foot and allow mud and grime to flow through, keeping step-down digging motions controllable and smooth.
